Restless nights
Article Abstract:
Many executives suffer from problems with insomnia due to the pressure of their hectic work and travel schedules. Many executives are worried that their problems with insomnia may affect their work performance on the following day. There is a cyclical pattern of activity and inactivity based on the pattern of the day which affect the tissues of the body through chemical reactions. The body will compensate for insomnia by taking the rest it needs through chemical reactions that will result in a loss of energy during the day. Executives having problems with insomnia should do an absorbing and relaxing activity before going to bed, should develop a sleep rhythm by waking up at the same time each day, and should stay up until they are sleepy while performing an absorbing activity.

Healing powers of positive thinking
Article Abstract:
Considerable evidence from recent scientific research has elucidated the healing powers of positive thinking because it helps hasten the recovery of people suffering from illness. Scientists have shown that individuals undergoing a stressful life event, such as divorce, a layoff, or the loss of a spouse are more prone to illness. Managers need to understand that each illness is unique and that recovery will not be determined simply by the disease or injury but by the the mental and physical fitness of the individual. Diseases or injuries can behave differently in different people. A person's determination and thinking can influence the outcome of the injury or disease more than medical technology can.
