Statoil reports 15% net decline, warns 2007 output target at risk
Article Abstract:
Net profit for Statoil of Norway fell 15 percent to 8.52 billion Kroner ($1.25 billion) in the fourth quarter. Losses are due to an increased tax rate and costs even though the gas company had higher gas and oil prices and increased production levels. The gas company did not meet its production projection of 1.175 million barrels.
