Rival publishers say they don't feel threatened
Article Abstract:
Rival magazine publishers of 'Saturday Night' firmly believe that the magazine's newly revamped image will not draw away their advertisers or reduce their market shares. These publishers, who are all based in Toronto, Ontario, are Greg MacNeil, publisher of 'Elm Street;' Bill Duron, publisher of monthly 'Toronto Life;' and Paul Jones, publisher of 'Maclean's.' McNeil and Duron say that the new 'Saturday Night' will not affect their magazines since they cater to different demographics.
