Roche may let others produce Tamiflu amid global pressure

Roche Holding Ltd. of Switzerland may license the medication Tamiflu to other companies to increase production in the face of a possible avian influenza pandemic. The United States Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of an additional pharmaceutical manufacturing site in the United States. Roche Holding Ltd. sales revenue for Tamiflu is forecast to quadruple to over $1 billion from $250 million last year.
