Room at the inn
Article Abstract:
Nine new hotels are under construction in Manila, Phi. These hotels are expected to be finish by 1993 while another two hotels are expected to open before 1992 ends. The construction activity is unprecedented in Manila's history. The increase in rooms is expected to cut room rates. Hotel operators are hoping that this will not lead to a price war among hotels, although the government expects the increasing number of tourist arrivals to absorb the rooms that will be made available by the opening of the new hotels.
