Article Abstract:
The merchant banking industry in Leeds, England, is rapidly expanding. Top City institutions such as NM Rothschild and NatWest Markets have set up offices in Leeds to cater for regional business. Businesses no longer find it necessary to travel to the City for high-quality corporate financial services because they have confidence in local firms. They also prefer to travel locally due to time constraints and heavy business demands.

Banks prepare for a siege
Article Abstract:
The French stock market regulator, Commission des Operations de Bourse, has approved the all-share offers by Banque Nationale de Paris for Paribas and Societe Generale, which are already involved in their own $17.2 billion merger scheme.
