Rupert's misses
Article Abstract:
Rupert Murdoch has set up a JV with Softbank geared to India, New Zealand, Australia and Britain, where News Corp has expertise. New Corp's stock price has not performed well compared with old media companies, and Murdoch's global vision for satellite TV appears to be at fault. He faces stiff competition in India, and is not allowed to collect subscriptions in China since it is illegal to watch his channels. Murdoch has offended many governments in Europe and this has led to problems with regulatory authorities.
