Russia controls pollock
Article Abstract:
Russian government is planning to impose rules to stop exports of fish products direct from the offshore. As a result of the imposed rule fish products would be taken to Russian port for recording and clearance and foreign buyers will have to come to Vladivostok to the pollock auction. The move is expected to benefit Russian fishermen and producers.

Alaska pollock is sustainable
Article Abstract:
The Alaskan pollock fisheries are determined to be sustainable according to the Marine Stewardship Council standards. The industry has produced 1.4 million tons of pollock fish in 2003 and overtook Russia.
