Remak (Roznov pod Radhostem, Czech Republic), light air- conditioning manufacturer, wants to satisfy an increase in the demand of its clients in 1999. They are mainly from the former USSR and Baltic countries. Remak exports 90% of its production to the territories. The company invested 25 mil Kc in the construction of a new production hall in 1999. Remak wants to strengthen its position on the markets in Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Croatia. The company expects total proceeds of 170 mil Kc in 1999 compared to 130 mil Kc in 1998.

Karosa will supply 26 buses to Russia
Article Abstract:
Karosa (Vysoke Myto, Czech Republic), bus manufacturer, will start delivering buses to Tyumen Oil Company TNK (Russia) in 2000. Karosa was awarded the contract, which regards a total of 26 buses, in a tender in the middle of 2000. A total of 24 pieces of the quantity will be represented by intercity buses and two pieces by tourist buses. The total worth of the contract is about USD 2.6 mil.
