The Danish industrial group Danfoss is successful on the South African market. Since the company started operating on the market, in the beginning of the 1990's, sales have increased successively. Now Danfoss will increase the targeting of neighboring countries as well. The number of employees in South Africa is more than 300. Most of the company's products are being sold on the market; the most successful products are cooling equipment for breweries, wine producers, hotels etc.

DENMARK: A NEW REFRIGERATION METHOD BY YORK

York Refrigeration, based in Arhus, has launched a new refrigeration system thorough its subsidiary York Refrigeration Marine, and has patent pending for it. York's new method is more efficient and it is based on the natural refrigerant CO2. The method is particularly well suited for freezing fish that is frozen fast in -50 degrees Celsius.

DENMARK: DANFOSS TO MOVE 250 JOBS OVERSEAS

Over the next three years, Danfoss will move 250 jobs to plants in China, Mexico and Poland. Danfoss wants to strengthen its position on the market for refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. To become more competitive, the most labour-intensive jobs are relocated abroad.
