COFFEE BOARD TO INVITE FOREIGN ROASTERS TO INDIA
Article Abstract:
The Coffee Board plans to boost its presence in its existing markets by inviting foreign roasters into India. The Board plans to invite roasters from one market at a time. This programme will be initiated in consultation with leading exporters. India exports around 60 percent of its coffee production to Europe. Of the total production of some 3.87 million 60-kg bags, around three million bags were exports, of which Europe accounted for 1.82 million bags. The main grades exported are Robusta Cherry AB followed by Plantation A. (gsh)
