GCMMF SPLITS DHARA DISTRIBUTION FROM AMUL
Article Abstract:
The Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation has separated the Dhara edible oils brand from Amul dairy products and set up a new distribution system for it. This process has already been done at Mumbai where 25 new wholesalers have been appointed for the Dhara brand. All cities with populations of over a lakh are to be covered in the next phase. This has been done as sales volumes of Dhara had increased to a point that existing dealers could not cope with the investment required. (khr)
