SCANDINAVIA: BUSINESS HEALTH PROGRAMME LAUNCHED
Article Abstract:
Skandialifeline has launched a business health programme to prevent disease among employees. According to chief executive of Skandialifeline Svend Erik Christensen, the insurance programme is primarily aimed at preventing stress, which is a widespread problem. The disease prevention insurance policy allows employees who are suffering from stress for instance to take aerobic-classes, get access to health-hotlines, take spa-baths or get physiotherapy. Sven Erik Christensen is convinced that the number of days lost through illness can be reduced. The insurance policy can be taken out by companies with a minimum of 25 employees and is best suited for non-manual workers and officials. This year Skandialifeline hopes to sell the insurance to 20-30 companies and in three years 15.000 to 20.000 employees should be covered by it.
