Avesta Sheffield shows signs of recovery
Article Abstract:
Avesta Sheffield AB, a stainless steel manufacturer based in Sweden, is showing a modest recovery, following its plunge in the stock market that stemmed from currency fluctuations and low steel prices. Terence Sinclair of Salomon Smith Barney sees a long slow recovery for the Avesta stock and that the item may not be attractive until summer 1999. Another analyst, Cristofer Sjoegren of Carnegie AB, provided investors with some caution in buying the stock until another quarter, afterwards, he said there should be signs of a reversal in the steel market.
