Some simple suggestions that would keep the health-depleting effect of grilled foods at bay are discussed. Some of the tips include drinking iced tea and consuming cruciferous vegetable if one is a guest, and precooking meat in a microwave if one is a cook and the host.

Barbecue recipes for turkey fajitas, Oriental pork kabobs, grilled cod steaks with tomato salsa, grilled shrimp with garlic sauce, sliced steak and black-eyed-pea salad and herbed veal burgers are presented. The recipes make excellent summer meals.
