Scheduling two machines that require multiple types of maintenance, for a single operation
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the management of two machines which work together but which are subject to differing maintenance schedules. The optimization of operating time of the two machines is discussed.

Refueling strategies to maximize the operational range of a nonidentical vehicle fleet
Article Abstract:
Several approaches for solving the vehicle fleet refueling problem pertaining to vehicles with varying fuel consumption rates and fuel storage capacities were introduced. The strategies, which were developed to enable the operational range of the fleet to be maximized, include a O(n) recursive formula, a pairwise interchange rule and a heuristic. The trade-offs between the maximum operational range and the number of fuel transferring processes done under the pure and multiple-transfer chains were also discussed.

The interface between OR/MS and decision theory
Article Abstract:
The relationship between operations research and management science (OR/MS) is examined. Non-von Neumann and Morgenstern utility functions are reviewed, afterwhich the determinative bounds on the value of information in a project selection under linear and nonlinear utility forms ate analyzed and compared. Criticisms on the development of OR?Ms is found to be derived from limited success in practice and deviation from normative theories.
