Hong Kong is set to undergo another transformation as Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa outlined the rationalization of the city's delivery of services. A broad overview of the plan entails taking advantage of Hong Kong's stature as a global information hub and a conduit for information to the mainland. To ensure its position as an information hub, the city's government has continuously upgraded its information-technology infrastructure. However, the more important aspect of Hong Kong's transformation involves changing the mind-set of its citizens to envision an integrated economic development.
