Shaky future
Article Abstract:
The direction to be taken by Croatian politics remains uncertain despite the extension of Franjo Tudjman's term as leader due to the failing health of the leader and the unavailability of a successor. Franjo Tudjman remains in power and seems very able to keep the country and its relations with other countries in check but the continued division of the ruling party seems unlikely to produce a successor for the leader.

Tudjman's last rally? Croatia
Article Abstract:
Some reports indicate that Croatia's president Franco Tudjman's health is failing, but official sources deny the reports. Tudjman has totally ruled the so-called democracy, but he continues to enjoy popular support and it is difficult for many to imagine a government without Tudjman at the helm.
