Haze over hotel stocks: high labor cost adds to environmental woes

The Southeast Asian hotel industry is expected to suffer the most as a result of the forest fires in Indonesia, which could deter visitors from visiting the region. The sector is also expected to experience overbuilding and increasing labor costs. A number of hotel analysts are giving a "sell" recommendations for stocks of several hotels such as the Singapore-listed Shangri-La Hotel and Republic Hotels & Resorts.

Good values still exist among colony's hotels
