Shopping centres
Article Abstract:
Many shopping centres were constructed in Britain during the 1980s and the recession of the early 90s provides a chance for assessment and evaluation of their design. The standard established by the Ridings, Wakefield, England in 1984 has been the basis of subsequent designs. However, innovation is continuing especially in the large regional centres, Meadowhall and Lakeside. Traditional qualities such as location, access and getting the right tenants remain important.
