Singapore court ends dispute over Indonesia share sale

The Singapore High Court has ruled that Deutsche Bank AG must pay a nominal penalty of $664 to Beckkett Pte. Ltd., a Singapore investment holding firm, as the German bank did not discharge its pledged duties. However, the court dismissed Beckkett's claim that Deutsche Bank conspired to sell Beckkett's 40% holding in PT Adaro Indonesia.

Deutsche Bank, Enron settle
Article Abstract:
Deutsche Bank AG has agreed to settle charges brought by energy firm Enron Corp. alleging that the bank, with other financial institutions, helped cause Enron's collapse in 2001. Deutsche Bank will pay $25 mil, and will also forgo a claim for $416 mil filed in the Enron bankruptcy case.
