Skoda Klatovy will be sold

Skoda Klatovy (SK) (Klatovy, Czech Republic), engineering company, will be separated from the holding company Skoda Holding (Plzen, Czech Republic). A reason is the facilitation of SK's subsequent sale, which will not solve the transfer of immovable assets. According to audited results, SK saw a loss of 143.7 mil Kc in 1999. In 1998 the firm generated a net profit of 13 mil Kc.

Skoda Auto extends production
Article Abstract:
Skoda Auto (Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic), automotive company, has invested about CEK 1 bil in its plant in Vrchlabi, the Czech Republic, since 1997. About 80% of the sum went to the installation of a new assembly line. The line enabled the firm to double its daily production to 400 cars in 2000 compared to 1997.
