Soft drinks in Belgium & The Netherlands
Article Abstract:
A significant growth has been noted in the carbonates market since 1990. Both Belgium and the Netherlands exhibited high consumption levels than any other European country. As health and fitness has become an important issue, non-alcoholic beverages have enjoyed a larger market than alcoholic drinks. The health trend is further concretized by mineral water's accounting for almost half of volume sales since 1988. In the carbonates market, colas still represent a bigger sales volume, with Coca-Cola lording it over at this particular segment market. More growth is predicted in the market until year 2000.
