A mission for transmission
Article Abstract:
A multinational consortium, led by Castle Tower Corporation of the US, purchased the British Broadcasting Corporation's (BBC) Home Service Transmission, in Feb 1997. They paid 244 million pounds sterling for the business. The purchasers of the BBC's Home Service Transmission were required to have sufficient funding to oversee a contract guaranteeing a analogue terrestrial transmission service for 10 years. Investors were keen to make the deal because it involved the major UK terrestrial broadcast transmission network. Candover managed the UK part of the bidding process.

Global Shipping Services
Article Abstract:
The management buyout of Global Shipping Services was initiated with the creation of a business plan, to identify the company's position in its sector of activity. The lead team, from Ernst and Young, established a number of investors who may be interested in the project, following a financial evaluation of the company. The Global Group decided to sell Global Shipping Services as part of their overall strategy. Lloyds Capital Development undertook a careful examination of the industry before deciding to become involved in the buyout.
