Article Abstract:
Many Asian hotels are investing in services and facilities that accommodate disabled guests. These hotels realize that facilities for the disabled bring in more customers and are wise investments in terms of helping other guests, such as the elderly. Hotels are investing in pagers and displays for the hearing-impaired, braille information cards and menus for the blind, ramps and rails for guests in wheelchairs and training for service crews in accommodating the requests of disabled guests. The favorable services provided by these hotels bring in more guests, as word-of-mouth recommendations are made by disabled guests to their friends.
