Article Abstract:

Cola was important in the agricultural and industrial revolutions, and is still important in India and China. Oil had been used for street lighting in Cairo following distillation of oil developed by Arabs by the 10th century. Oil drilling was developed in Pennsylavia in 1859, and the petroleum industry then developed, which in turn helped in the development of the internal combustion engine.
