Special report: design and build
Article Abstract:
Architects will have an important role in design and build teams, in some cases they may lead the team along with the contractor. In the past architects were employed by the client yet in the future the architect is more likely to be recruited by the contractor. The aims of the new strategy for construction are to increase customer satisfaction and to construct better buildings. All the major contributors work together and take responsibility for their work. Several reports have concluded team work produces higher quality buildings.
