AlliedSignal lifts net 13% on savings, turbine sales

AlliedSignal Inc. announced that it posted a 13% improvement in its earnings for the second-quarter of 1999. The cost savings in the company's US aerospace business, along with the growth in turbine-technology sales, helped AlliedSignal's figures. The company posted $395 million in net income for the quarter. During the same period in 1998, AlliedSignal posted $350 million.
