Ad agencies flock to South Africa
Article Abstract:
An increasing number of Canadian advertising agencies are shooting television commercials in South Africa mainly because of economic reasons. Talents and production crews in South Africa are much cheaper than in Canada. Another major reason is that the landscape in Canada has striking similarities with that in South Africa. However, there are some problems with shooting in South Africa, including accents of local actors and threats of violence.

Paying for planning
Article Abstract:
Planning is now recognized to have an important role in creating successful marketing campaigns, but advertising agencies cannot yet seem to agree on how to charge clients for it. Some agencies prefer to provide planning for free at the start, while others charge it as fee or as commission. Whatever the mode of payment is, both parties should arrive at a mutually satisfying method of compensation to ensure an effective relationship.
