Star alliance boosts Frankfurt passenger traffic
Article Abstract:
Frankfurt-Main International Airport continued to post significant growth in its passenger traffic in 1999. It posted a 7.3% increase to 45.9 million passengers. The increase was attributed to the efforts of the Star Alliance member airlines, network maximization and popular fare rates. The Star Alliance also accounted for the increase in transfer traffic. The highest growth was recorded in intercontinental traffic while domestic traffic also increased due to the revitalization of Lufthansa.
