Starbucks maintains sales stride

Starbucks Corp. of the United States posted a six percent sales increase for the first quarter, 2007. Sales increases were partly due to the opening of 728 new stores with plans for 2,400 store openings for 2007. Share price has been volatile over 2006, resting at $39.94 per share yesterday and with a 52 week high of $40.01 per share.
