Streamlined computation for data envelopment analysis
Article Abstract:
A computational methodology for undertaking data envelopment analysis based on the CCR, BCC and additive models is discussed. The efficiency of data envelopment analysis may be improved by integrating constructs that enhance the solution of a sequence of linear programs. These constructs include the correspondence between programs for decision-making units i and i+1, i=1, ..., n-1, restricted pricing rules, candidate lists and advanced initial basic solutions. Preprocessing for identifying possible efficient and inefficient units will also enhance the solution methodology.

A note on robustness of the efficient DMUs in data envelopment analysis
Article Abstract:
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) involves a set of mathematical programming-based techniques and models which are used to evaluate relative efficiency of observed decision making units (DMUs). One of the topics of interest in DEA is sensitivity analysis of a specific DMU unit under evaluation. An expert has proposed a new approach to sensitivity analysis resulting in regions of stability of DMU units. Some examples are presented to illustrate that, in certain cases, the results of the new approach do not hold.

Components of efficiency evaluation in data envelopment analysis
Article Abstract:
Efficiency evaluation in data envelopment analysis (DEA) is composed of three components: envelopment surface, orientation and multiplier lower bounds. These components determine the DEA model's implicit evaluation scheme. A discussion on the standard DEA models is presented. A computational example is also presented to illustrate efficiency evaluation. A particular model's suitability to an applications should be based on the choice of the form of envelopment and the evaluation system.
