Article Abstract:
The transformation of Glasgow's Gorbals is the result of a collaboration between three leading architectural practices, local residents and a housing association. Issues concerning the design of Moffat Gardens in the East-Gorbals are presented.

The designs for the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh are discussed. Designed by Malcolm Fraser Architects, the library makes striking use of blue-glazed brickwork, steel pillars, oak panels and an open air auditorium.
