Sword of justice
Article Abstract:
The world community's increasing inclination towards intervention in the affairs of independent countries has been emphasized by the dilemma being faced by the UN with regard to the killings in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Historical precedents have always leaned towards the rejection of intervention as an illegal use of force despite any humanitarian considerations such a move might imply. However, the real footages aired by television in news reports covering the area have served to provoke outrage over the brutalities. In addition, the fact that the victims in Sarajevo are mostly Europeans has brought the issue closer to the powers in the world.
