This technology has become a key factor in the expansion and survival of national economies and corporations. New telecommunications systems allow companies to react more rapidly to changing market conditions and to obtain latest information about customer requirements.

A network approach to strategy
Article Abstract:
A decision-making framework for developing strategies in a markets-as-networks context is introduced. The framework, which is illustrated using the case study of a high-voltage equipment supplier to the Swiss electric industry, enables the formulation of strategies along three dimensions, namely, the environment, the organization-environment alignment and the determinants of performance. It consists of three stages, namely, describing, evaluating and interpreting.
