PAK TO EXPORT 300 MW OF POWER TO INDIA
Article Abstract:
Pakistan has confirmed availability of 300 mw power capacity for export to India for the next ten years. The two countries will finalise tariff and other commercial terms at a meeting scheduled to be held at Islamabad in March 1999. Pakistan has stated that power export to India can be increased to 600 mw based on the availability during certain periods. Both the countries will construct and maintain the double-circle twin-bundled 220-kv transmission line from the designated stations up to the Indo-Pak border. (khr)
