Re CLOSES UNCHANGED
Article Abstract:
The spot rupee remained unchanged at 42.25/26 against the US dollar on October 28, 1998. The rupee closed at the same rate as on October 27, 1998. This is attributed to a steady supply of dollars and buying by the State Bank of India. In the forward market, the six-month forward premia increased to 7.40 percent per annum against the previous close of 7.12 percent per annum. (gs)
