Taiwan's tourist trade takes a turn for the rustic as nature travel calls
Article Abstract:
More Taiwanese tourists are preferring nature-centered travel packages. Nature trips now account for 65% of the activities of the Taiwanese tour groups in New Zealand, compared with about 45% in 1996. The domestic tourist industry is also taking advantage of the trend, with travel groups touting the island's lush mountains and diving spots. The industry is viewed as a potentially lucrative one, as the island is home to 21 million residents with money to spare for vacations.

An increasing number of ads for mineral water are continuously put out in Taiwan where demand for the product is rising, spurred mainly by the worsening environment and increased income of consumers.
