Technology is feeling the squeeze
Article Abstract:
The 1998 Asian economic crisis has damaged the prospects of companies that export technology, but opportunities still exist depending on the country and industry targeted. South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand have been most damaged by the crisis. New Zealand, Australia, India, China and Japan have been least damaged. Finance, telecommunications, education and health industries are still good markets for software developers. With proper strategy, technology producers can survive the crisis.
