Telefonica fourth quarter net falls on early-retirement and pension payouts

Telefonica S.A. of Spain posted a slip in net profit by 12.2 percent to 503 million Euros ($666 million). The telecommunications operator paid out 134 million Euros for a management pension plan and 503 million Euros ($666 million) for early retirements. Telefonica S.A. is the largest telecommunications operator in Latin America and Spain.

BT Group net falls 11% as costs outpace an increase in revenue
