China's premier Wen Jiabao has built a strong popular support at home and in Asia for his new personal style, but it may not work so well in the United States. Wen Jiabao's visit to Washington in order to persuade the Bush administration to take steps that defend China against charges of unfair trade practices and control Taiwan president's attempts to separate it from the mainland, is discussed.
