The client's interests must come first
Article Abstract:
Architects may not always serve the best interests of their clients.Architects appreciate they must deliver a service but they are also taught to aim for other socialgoals. They should continue to strive to meet social requirements, but should initially meet theirclients' objectives. Clients used to be more willing to comply with the views of the architect, particularly where aesthetic pre-occupations were dominant, but this has since changed withclients now seeking closer involvement.

Cost awareness can secure architect's role
Article Abstract:
The architect's role must change in order to meet the client's needs better and to maintain the quality of the built environment and architecture. Architects should not disregard cost management. Quality in architecture means that conceptual design should interface with budget constraints. Disregarding cost at the design stage may later result in cost-cutting with a reduction in quality.
