The good, the bad and the rusty
Article Abstract:
There are differences of opinion among classic car enthusiasts about the best way to restore them. The British tend to allow these cars to show their age, while the Japanese and many US enthusiasts like the cars to look as though they were new. Cars can be written off, restored, and still described as originals. The rise in price of classic cars has tended to encourage restoration of vehicles to make them look perfect. The value of these cars comes mainly from how their drivers perceive them.

Stealing from the dead
Article Abstract:
A fashion for gothic sculptures has prompted thieves to carry out raids on graveyards in New Orleans. Stolen urns, statues and other artefacts are then sold in antique shops to be bought as garden ornaments. The city council has passed legislation that requires auctioneers and art dealers to tell the police if they are offered artefacts that may have come from cemeteries. The city is also seeking to return stolen artefacts to the families that they were stolen from.
