The middle class bulge
Article Abstract:
The growth of the Indian middle class and its accompanying increase in consumption demands has apparently made the economic reforms of the present government irreversible. This phenomenon is occuring at a time wherein political upheavals are disturbing the country. Moreover, criticisms are being levelled against the unabashed consumption patterns of the middle class and the eventual growth of income disparity.
