The numbers man
Article Abstract:
Algebra should be used to tackle business questions, according to mathematician Art Hammer, who helps to run consultancy QualPro. His multivariable testing approach allows managers to take a much more systematic approach than merely using their instincts. He claims that if a company uses multivariable testing alone, its tests will indicate around 70% of the theoretically possible improvements. Multivariable testing should be used to find the two or three main variables, while focusing on all the combinations that involve these variables will refine the process.
