Milberg's mission
Article Abstract:
BMW's chief executive is Joachim Milberg, who has decided to sell Rover to Alchemy, and has to develop a new strategy for his company. He aims to launch a compact BMW model, and develop a four-by-four BMW brand. BMW is to employ some 10,000 workers using three factories, with production of the mini vehicle to be transferred to Cowley, Oxford, from Longbridge, Birmingham, England. BMW is also to make Rolls-Royce vehicles in Britain. BMW is one of the smaller independents remaining in the automobile industry.
