The revolving door: downsizing in America
Article Abstract:
An AMA survey shows that many large and medium-sized companies cut jobs in 1995 and 1996, but that these companies also created a good deal of jobs. The overall job reduction rate of the downsizing companies was only .7%. Many companies realized that cutting jobs does not necessarily increase profits.
