The risk of delay of a project in terms of the morphology of its network

Article Abstract:

A study has been conducted to develop a system of indicators to describe the morphology of a project network and to examine the statistical distribution of the total duration in terms of such indicators. The study used a random generator of project networks as a model to produce graphical representations of the network. Findings have revealed that an increase of the number of activities of the serial nature of the network reduces the uncertainty of the total duration.

The greater whole: towards a synthesis of system dynamics and soft systems methodology

Article Abstract:

An approach, called Holon Dynamics, that combines system dynamics (SD) and soft system methodology (SSM) was presented to address organization problems. The approach, after implementing an SSM intervention, undertakes a stage in which socio-political analysis is pursued. Holon Dynamics works within a perspective that is guided by dynamic coherence of the mental construct.
