The theft that nobody saw
Article Abstract:
The report by congressman Christopher Cox has shown that Chinese spying has been a long term activity in the US. It raises three concerns, about the nuclear capability of China, the failure of the US to keep its nuclear secrets safe, and in relation to the timing, since China aims to join the World Trade Organization (WTO). China could still achieve WTO entry, but relations between the US and China could be soured. There are concerns about the lack of action when there was already evidence that spying activities were taking place.

The most dangerous place on earth?
Article Abstract:
The arms race between Pakistan and India has led to concern about the likelihood of weapons of mass destruction being used by the two countries in a conflict with each other. China has improved its relations with India, though tends to support Pakistan. There is concern that India may not have the capacity to control a nuclear weapons system designed to be ready for immediate launch, and that weapons could be set off by accident. Faulty signals, or command and control problems could also lead to nuclear weapons being used.
