H.G. Wells' vision of 2048 is shared based on his novel, 'The Sleeper Awakes', which provides an insight into the causes and consequences of the future. His vision is that of a megacity that sees the benefit of the best technology, excellent transport facilities and a great urban future.

Less is more in the lessons of evolution and ephemeralisation
Article Abstract:
The Victorian age was the age of ephemeralisation to an extent and with a speed that seems entirely beyond one's powers in the existing generation. Child labor and the evolution of a sailing ship are explained as examples of value engineering at work and ephemeralisation.
